An individual exhibition of artist Kim chamsae will be held to express images and emotions formed through various daily lives and experiences through works. The exhibition, which runs from August 12 to early September, will feature works based on the artist's inner story of "variables" that are unexpected in everyday life. The exhibition begins with a subtle sound. First, a 4m high installation work was placed at the beginning of the exhibition hall, which was made by sewing various fabrics that the artist had been collecting, making inaccurate forms into a single lump. The collected fabrics are located in organic form one by one, and the concept of variables is entwined together like a thread of memory and established as a large mass.
On the other hand, hemp is stretched from the ceiling in the center of the exhibition hall to the floor. The sewing drawing expressed on the front of the hemp cloth and the unintended solid lines created by finishing the back are expressed as another variable, forming a contrast between the front and the back. Large-scale painting work is located on the wall of the exhibition hall. Painting work contains the expression of the artist's inner self in form, form, and unconsciousness that was not in the existing method. Above all, monsters covering each other on one side of the exhibition hall catch the eye. This reflects the artist's intention to relax little by little and cover for each other in the presence-rich installation that fills the space.
Each work actively communicates with the audience. Beyond the simple expressive purpose of "drawing," sewing is also a means of healing for the artist, and the works created one by one through "Kkae-mam" are a way to communicate between the inner self and the outer self that exists in reality. It is an exhibition where you can enjoy continuous exploration and expression of the "self."
